The mission of the General Services Department is to provide vital, sustainable, and innovative services to ensure that the County accomplishes its goals and objectives for the public good. We provide: capital improvements, facility management, financial and procurement services, mail services, real estate services, and vehicle operations.

Purchasing, Facilities Administration and Maintenance, Fleet, Real Property Administration, Energy and Sustainability, and Parks Administration.  In addition to its role in facilities and fleet management, the department’s primary responsibility is the cost-effective acquisition of materials and equipment on behalf of County departments.  Aside from Purchasing, the services provided to County departments include processing formal bids and requests for proposal/qualifications, mail courier, fixed asset tracking, energy and sustainability, real property acquisition and management, and surplus equipment disposal.  The department is also responsible for managing the vehicle replacement and participates in the development and administration of the County’s Capital Improvement Plan.
