  •  Martin Luther King Day Office Closure - The Ukiah and Fort Bragg offices will be closed on MONDAY, JANUARY 19 in observance of the Federal Holiday. Both offices will re-open as normal on Tuesday, January 20.
  • Coastal Recreation Survey EXTENDED - Mendocino County is pleased to announce an extension of the public survey deadline gathering community input on coastal recreation, part of the ongoing update to the County’s Local Coastal Program (LCP). Due to strong public interest and high participation, the deadline to submit responses has been extended to January 23 at midnight.  A link to the survey and original press release can be found on this page.
  • Coastal Recreation Survey - Mendocino County is gathering community input on coastal recreation as part of the ongoing update to the Local Coastal Program. 
  • Understanding how residents and visitors use coastal parks, trails, beaches and access points is essential as visitation to the coast increases. Your input will help guide long-term planning, support coastal protection, and help ensure that recreational facilities and access remain sustainable and responsive to community needs.  You can find out more about the Local Coastal Program Update by clicking the button at the top of this page.   • Scenic View Survey - Mendocino County is updating its Local Coastal Program (LCP). This is the plan that guides how land along the coast can be used and developed.
    The County wants to hear your thoughts about scenic views—the special places and sights that make the coast beautiful and unique. This survey is your chance to share what you think are the most important views along the coast, and how they should be protected. You can take the survey by scanning the QR code to the right, or by clicking HERE.   • New Code Enforcement Online Complaint Form - The Code Enforcement Division has updated its complaint form to improve the quality of submitted complaints as well as provide educational value for the community. Complainant information is required; however, anonymous complaints will still be accepted and reviewed for potential investigation. The Code Enforcement Division will prioritize complaints pertaining to life/safety and impacts to community quality of life over all other complaints received.   •  Low Intensity Camping (Inland) - Make your voice heard on the Low Intensity Camping (LIC) ordinance amendment by taking the survey.   • Fee Changes - Updated fees will take effect June 22, 2025. Please click here for more information 
  • PBS is Going Green! Planning and Building Services is pleased to announce that as part of our on-going efforts to go green and streamline the permitting process, all permit applications and associated paperwork can now be submitted digitally, including building plans.
