Proposed Mendocino County Twenty-Year Corrective Maintenance Plan: We believe using a combination of Corrective Maintenance and Pavement Preservation techniques we will be able to meet our goal of improving our main roads over a twenty-year period. Corrective Maintenance includes resurfacing, restoration, and rehabilitation projects. Pavement Preservation includes chip seals, rubberized chip seal micro surface, and multi-layer application of all types. County of Mendocino Treatment Selection Audit Draft Report
The Mendocino Council of Governments (MCOG) selected NCE to perform an audit of the pavement treatment selection for the County of Mendocino's 20-year Corrective/Preventative Maintenance Plan and its cost-effectiveness for the last 7 years, i.e. 2019-2025. NCE conducted an independent assessment of the treatments using pre-treatment and recent condition survey data, Google Street View, and the 2026 Automated Condition Survey vehicle pictures and reported project costs to ascertain the cost-effectiveness of treatments and their performance over time. This report provides an overview of the methodology and the results of the audit.
