Please visit www.mendocinocounty.org/taxes to pay your property tax bill.  This public access portal allows for look up of your tax bill with your parcel number, situs address, or account number.  For any other tax bill, fee, or assessment please go to our Miscellaneous Tax Bill Payment Page at www.mendocinocounty.org/misctax. For Cannabis business taxes please call our office at 707-234-6848 to obtain the correct payment amount prior to making your electronic payment.  

Requests for penalty cancellation must be received in writing by completing the Penalty Cancellation Form. Please read the qualifications for a penalty cancellation request and follow the instructions for how to submit your request.

For Senior Citizens, Blind, or Disabled Persons

The State Controller’s Property Tax Postponement Program returned in 2016 after being suspended by the Legislature in 2009. The program allows homeowners who are seniors, are blind, or have a disability to defer current-year property taxes on their principal residence if they meet certain criteria including 40 percent equity in the home and must meet the annual household income limit set each year by the Program.  The annual household income limit is adjusted annually based on the rate of inflation.
