Cannabis Cultivation Sites Chapter 20.242

This chapter 20.242 ("Chapter") is intended to provide land use regulations for the County of Mendocino where cannabis may be cultivated, subject to the limitations established of this chapter and the provisions of Mendocino County Code Chapter 10A.17, the Mendocino Cannabis Cultivation Ordinance (MCCO). The objective of this Chapter is to allow the cultivation of cannabis in locations that are consistent with the intent of the base zoning district and to help ensure that its cultivation and related activities will not create adverse impacts to the public health, safety, and welfare of the residents of the County of Mendocino.

MARCH 2024 - Amendment

The introduction and first reading of the ordinance amending Chapter 10A.17 of the Mendocino County Code to further streamline the Cannabis Cultivation Business License process occurred on January 23, 2024. The second reading occurred at the February 6, 2024, Board of Supervisor's meeting. On March 8, 2024, amendments to the ordinance were officially adopted by the Mendocino County Board of Supervisors.

MAY 2023 - Amendment

On Tuesday, May 23, 2023, amendments to the ordinance were officially adopted by the Mendocino County Board of Supervisors.  To view the adopted amendments, please visit:
