As of July 1, 2023, the Perinatal Services Coordinator is no longer providing support to providers including CPSP application assistance. Contact California Department of Public Health's Maternal, Child, and Adolescent Health Division for CPSP assistance. Any applications or  questions received will be forwarded to CPSPProviderEnrollment@cdph.ca.gov.

The Comprehensive Perinatal Services Program (CPSP) is a free program that helps improve the health of pregnant women who are low-income and give their babies a healthy start. CPSP-certified providers who follow the program's guidelines can get extra payments through Medi-Cal. This program aims to lower the number of babies born with low weight and improve overall pregnancy outcomes. CPSP services include:

  • Health education
  • Nutrition education
  • Psycho-social counseling

These CPSP services augment the traditional medical perinatal services provided to women in order to improve birth outcomes for mother and baby.
