Advises the Board of Supervisors and the Local Emergency Medical Services Agency
The Emergency Medical Care Committee (EMCC) has been created under the authority of the California Health and Safety Code***. Membership is established and appointed by the Board of Supervisors. The committee consists of 13 members from various first responder related entities both public and private. The primary responsibility of the committee is to act in an advisory capacity to the Mendocino County Board of Supervisors and the Local Emergency Medical Services Authority (LEMSA). The committee’s focus is on review of ambulance operations, emergency medical care offered within the county, training and first aid practices in the County. Sub-committees operating under the authority of the EMCC are used to review specific areas of the EMS system operation.

Meeting Information
EMCC meets quarterly on the first Thursday of March, June, September, and December in various locations throughout the county.
