Property Tax Postponement for Senior Citizens, Blind, or Disabled Persons

This program will allow senior, blind, or disabled citizens with an annual household income of $51,762 or less and 40% equity in their homes (among other requirements) to apply to defer payment of property taxes on their principal residence.    

Under this bill, applications may be filed with the State Controller’s Office beginning October 1, 2023 and will be accepted through February 10, 2024.  Applications will not be accepted prior to October 1, 2023.
