Exploramos Juntos: Nuestra Alianza (Exploring Together: Nuestra Alianza) showcases Nuestra Alianza’s success in preserving and sharing the vibrant culture of our Latino friends and neighbors in the greater Mendocino County community.
Explore the history, services, and significance that Nuestra Alianza provides through their organization, that was created from passion and dedication. Biographies of community and board members tell the story of how they have championed the organization, while providing a myriad of services for the past 22 years.

Explora la historia, servicios, y el significado que Nuestra Alianza provee a través de la organización, la cual fue creada con pasión y dedicación. Biografías de miembros de la comunidad así como de la mesa directiva contarán la historia de cómo han puesto en alto la organización al mismo tiempo que proveen muchos servicios por los últimos 22 años.

ImPRESSED: a Celebration of Printmaking, August - September 2022 CLOSED
Showcasing prints from the Museum’s collection, prints from the co-founder of Mendocino Art Center Bill Zacha, notable Bay Area artist Henry Evans, artist and local activist Emmy Lou Packard, and cherished Mendocino College art professor Paula Gray. Alongside these favorites the exhibit also displayed, contemporary works from artists: Kristin Hock, Mike Barnes, Jerry Turner, and Jackson Deyerle of Ft. Bragg’s Art Explorers. Through art and writing these artists shared their insights about creativity and ‘explore’ the importance of making art as a community.
Bear in Mind: the Story of the California Grizzly, June - July 2022 CLOSED
Over the centuries, the relationship that Californians have had with the grizzly bear is one of dualities expressed in fear and fascination. Although now extinct in the state, the grizzly has long been a central character in California’s history. The “Bear In Mind: The Story of the California Grizzly” exhibition is produced and toured by Exhibit Envoy. The exhibition was developed in concert with The Bancroft Library, University of California, Berkeley and Heyday Books
Wonacott the Photographer In Your Town, July 2020 - May 2022 CLOSED
Take a journey through the changing landscape of Mendocino County in the early 1920’s to the mid 1950’s. Wonacott the Photographer in Your Town, chronicles the life of commercial photographer, H.H Wonacott.

Correspondence: A Gift for All Seasons, November 2021 - March 2022 CLOSED
Correspondence: A Gift for All Seasons celebrates the connection that mail service provides by showcasing letters, cards, stationery, and telegrams exchanged throughout Mendocino County from the early 1900’s to the present.

Albatross Life on the Wind and Seat - March 14 - April 30, 2021 CLOSED
Albatross: Life on the Wind and Sea, is Mendocino County Museum’s online exhibition reflects the latest discoveries about these seabirds. Through colorful block-printed artworks, sounds and videos of albatrosses, a virtual tour of albatrosses’ Midway Atoll home, and family-friendly activities, the virtual exhibit, Albatross: Life on the Wind and Sea, dispels myths and sheds light on the lives of these large seabirds, of which three species are found in the Northern Pacific. This exhibit will be paired with stories about sightings of albatrosses in Mendocino County. Museum collection highlights and virtual programs will inspire exploration and stewardship of the Mendocino coast.
Albatross: Life on the Wind and Sea is based on a traveling exhibition from Caren Loebel-Fried, the Seymour Marine Discovery Center (Santa Cruz, CA), and Exhibit Envoy, a nonprofit. The exhibition is adapted from the book A Perfect Day for an Albatross, written by Caren Loebel-Fried and published by Cornell Lab Publishing Group.
