Volunteer Undertakers Day
Volunteer Undertakers Day is a heartfelt celebration of the brave community members willing to step up when others are feeling a little… under the weather. Join us for a lively afternoon of camaraderie, dark humor, ceremonial heavy lifting, and conversations guaranteed to be coffin-worthy. Whether you’re here for the refreshments, the networking, or simply because you heard the event was to die for, this is your chance to support an essential community service that’s always keeping business alive underground. Black attire encouraged; dramatic fainting optional.
We are currently seeking dedicated volunteers to assist with all aspects of “final arrangements.” Ideal candidates may include aspiring coffin coordinators, recreational grave enthusiasts, amateur shovel specialists, hobbyist cemetery navigators, ceremonial dirt relocation experts, volunteer spirit escorts, freelance lantern carriers, apprentice mourners, underground logistics assistants, and honorary last responders. Weekend tombstone appreciators and backyard hole-digging professionals are especially encouraged to apply. No prior experience necessary — if you can walk slowly while looking solemn, you may already be overqualified.
