Crop Reports

Crop Report Survey

Agricultural production statistics recompiled and published yearly. Producers are requested to complete and return their surveys to ensure an accurate report. This is the only year that we will be collecting for two years' worth of reportable data, 2024 and 2025. Beginning in late 2026 and on, we will only be collecting for one year of reportable data at a time.

    • Agricultural producers and ranchers use the report to evaluate market conditions and production trends, and to assist with planning for planting, harvesting, processing, pricing strategies, transportation logistics, and financing needs.
    • Agricultural lenders and financial institutions use the report to assess industry performance, monitor commodity trends, and anticipate capital requirements.
    • Universities and agricultural research organizations reference the report as a historical record of acreage, production, and economic trends.

Why Participate in the Crop Report survey?

  • Producer participation is essential to ensuring that the Crop Report accurately reflects the scope, diversity, and economic value of agriculture in Mendocino County.
  • Agricultural production within the county is highly diverse, and much of this localized information is not captured through any other reporting source. Without direct input from producers, the full picture of the county’s agricultural economy cannot be properly represented.
  • Participation helps ensure that commodities are properly valued, industry sectors are accurately reflected, and agriculture’s overall economic contribution is fully documented.
