This Request for Proposal (RFP) announces the intent of the County of Mendocino to enter into a competitively procured agreement that delivers high-quality, reliable, and cost-effective services, including but not limited to entrance rug rental and servicing, shop towel and mop rental and laundering, and related facility textile services. The County also seeks to establish a contract structure that provides flexibility to incorporate additional services—such as uniform rental and laundering for maintenance mechanics and other operational staff—should such services be determined to be operationally beneficial and fiscally responsible.
This RFP is intended to:
- Establish a standardized, County-wide service program that promotes safety, cleanliness, and professional facility appearance.
- Reduce administrative burden through consolidated service agreements where appropriate.
- Ensure regulatory compliance in the laundering and handling of shop towels and other reusable materials.
- Promote environmentally responsible practices.
- Provide transparent, predictable pricing structures with safeguards against excessive escalation or hidden fees.
- Allow for scalable service levels to accommodate changing departmental needs; and
- Encourage competitive proposals that deliver measurable value to the County and its taxpayers.
