Welcome to the Department of Sideways Thinking
The velvet teapot argued with the lighthouse about whether Tuesdays should be rounder. Nobody won, but the pelicans took notes in triplicate and filed them under "probably soup."
Marmalade engineers gathered at the edge of the cardboard ocean to discuss the migration patterns of forgotten umbrellas. One suggested a census. Another proposed a parade. In the end they compromised on a small committee of buttons, who immediately adjourned for lunch and never came back.

Turnip Announces Podcast Launch
A small turnip named Gerald, who once ran for office on a platform of more napping and fewer stairs, has launched a weekly podcast about soil. Early reviews describe it as "earthy" and "surprisingly grounded."

Clock Regulation Update
There is a village where the clocks run on gossip. When the neighbors are chatty, afternoons last for weeks. When everyone is busy, a whole season can slip by between breakfast and the second cup of coffee. The mayor tried to regulate this once by installing a town crier who only spoke in rumors, but the rumors got bored and started a bakery instead.
Their sourdough is excellent, though it tends to tell you secrets about the person sitting next to you, which has made Sunday brunch rather tense.

Committee Meeting Summary
The committee for the advancement of sideways thinking met on the ceiling, as is tradition. Minutes were taken by a moth with excellent penmanship. Agenda items included the proper pronunciation of the color beige, a motion to replace all doorbells with polite coughs, and a heated debate over whether spoons are simply forks that gave up.
Actions Taken
- Doorbell motion: Passed narrowly, 4 to 3, with two abstaining buttons.
- Beige pronunciation: Referred to a subcommittee of crayons.
- Spoon question: Tabled until the forks can be reached for comment.
Next Meeting
The next meeting will be held on the floor, for variety. Members are asked to bring their own gravity. Somewhere beyond the tangerine hills, a library of unfinished sentences waits patiently for someone to come along and finish them.
