AVAILABILITY OF MENDOCINO COUNTY Public Survey: HOUSING AND ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE ELEMENT UPDATES

Mendocino County is pleased to announce the launch of a public survey to gather community input on housing and environmental justice issues as part of the upcoming 7^th cycle (2027-2035) Housing Element (HE) update. This survey will help the County collect information from the community regarding existing housing policies and anticipate future development trends and needs.

Recent changes to State law also require that a local jurisdiction incorporate provisions for equity and equality among residents, broadly known as Environmental Justice (EJ) policies.  EJ policies can be dispersed throughout the General Plan or incorporated as a separate, self-contained element.

Public input will directly inform the policies and strategies included in the upcoming HE and EJ updates. All residents are encouraged to participate.
